What is MFR Rehab?

My Story:
Over the years I realized that what was really missing from my healing was true muscle rehabilitation. I could tell I was not using my muscles properly and strengthening didn't work even though I was already a certified personal trainer and I knew how to strengthen properly. But after my injuries something was off. Strengthening just increased my symptoms and made me feel worse. By this time I had been to physical therapy multiple times and seen dozens of the country's leading MFR therapists who also had backgrounds in physical therapy, athletic training, massage therapy, rolfing, acupuncture, etc. And though all the MFR treatment had significantly reduced my pain, none of these talented therapists could guide me through this missing piece of my healing to help me get back to being pain free. So, a number of years ago, I set out to figure it out for myself!

Muscle Compensation:
What I have now come to understand is that we start compensating muscle use after injury, surgery or trauma. That means we start using other muscles so as not to cause pain in the injured areas while we're healing, which is good short term. The problem is that we never stop compensating. When we are all healed up weeks, months or years later, our bodies now have a habit of using the wrong muscles and it continues indefinitely. Unless we intervene with very specialized muscle rehabilitation. This is not at all the same as the sort of workout you'd get at the gym or with a personal trainer or even a physical therapist. Muscle compensations are a major cause of pain and symptoms, yet they are often totally overlooked. This is complicated by the fact that muscle compensation is completely subconscious so you don't even know you're doing it!

I created MFR Rehab to help myself and my clients become aware of our compensations and correct them once and for all. To regain our full strength and ease of motion and become pain-free. I'm very proud of this program and it's an extremely important piece of healing for anyone looking for long term pain relief. I use it with my online clients in my Become Pain Free Program and with my in-person clients as well. After 20+ years of searching, I can tell you MFR Rehab is completely unique and it works! It is a wonderful addition to your MFR healing. Releases are great and absolutely necessary but they can only take you so far. Pain and symptoms are often caused by compensations and lack of proper muscle use! Releasing will help the fascial restrictions but the compensations need my MFR Rehab.

If you're struggling with pain and can't seem to get better, reach out, I'd love to help you become pain free. MFR rehab may be the missing piece in your healing too.

My MFR Rehab will help you reconnect fully to previously injured areas, learn to use them properly again, regain your full strength and mobility to finally complete your healing.
